Acharya is making his fourth Championship start in 2025. Earlier this year, the University of Texas at San Antonio freshman won both the Nepal Amateur Open and the Bangladesh Amateur Championships. In 2024, he won three World Amateur Golf Ranking events in Nepal and had top-10 performances in events in Nepal, Bangladesh, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. In 2023, he represented his country in the Asian Games in China.
